Just install it on a traffic sign poll and it is ready to use it. It will automatically identify the use of helmets and it will show it on the display.

Secure

SafeDisplay does not record the driving licenses and does not aim to penalize the riders. The goal is to encourage the use of helmets to reduce road injuries.

SafeDisplay uses advanced machine learning and computer vision to automatically identify motorcycles and helmets on the riders. 

Using state-of-the-art machine learning models and advanced accelerated hardware, SafeDisplay identifies the use of helmets and encourage the use of helmets by motorbike riders.

Reduce road injuries

Motorcycle crashes account for a disproportionate number of motor vehicle deaths and injuries in the U.S and worldwide.

Motorcycle helmet use can lead to an estimated 42% reduction in risk for fatal injuries and a 69% reduction in risk for head injuries. 

Therefore encouraging the use of helmets can help reduce dramatically the number of fatal injuries. 

 

 

 

Safety through nudging techniques

The main goal of the SafeDisplay device is to encourage the use of the helmets. 

Specifically, the main goal is to nudge the use of helmets and not to penalize the riders for not using the helmets. 

This is why the camera and the display are used only for recognition of the helmet and the motorcycle and not for reading private data such as driving plates. 

Easy to deploy

SafeDisplay can be installed on any traffic sign poll. You just install it on the road and it is ready to use it. No need for Internet connection.

The accuracy of identification depends heavily on the environment (lighting, etc.) on the site that is has been installed.
